Landing page – Announcements:

The messages on this page will change from time to time based on the time of year and will include any changes to hours of operation or closures. You will also see the history of any previous self-service requests you have made which include the date processed and the date mailed.

From the announcements page select the Order My Official Transcript button to move to Step 1.

This page includes the instructions for completing the request.  Select the Continue button to move to Step 2.

Step 2 – Order Detail: transcript pg 2 icon

The page displays your personal information as we have it in our system.

If your address needs to be updated you can do that through Personal Services, before or after completing your request.  If any other information needs updating or correction you must contact the Office of the Registrar.  Our address is 106 Steele Hall, Syracuse, NY 13244.  Our phone number is 315-443-2422.  Our email address is crecords@syr.edu.

The following items are required.

1. The reason you are requesting transcript(s) at this time.

Select your reason from the drop-down list:

If ‘Other’ is selected a second box will open which must be completed as well.  It is a free-form field, so, type your reasons.

This section also includes deadline date.  This date is optional.

2. The Recipient information, either yourself or someone else:

Use the check boxes to tell us who should receive this transcript.

Further check boxes or data fields will open as you select who will receive the transcript(s) and how they will be sent.

3. If secure e-mail is selected, enter the email address where we are to send the secure email. The recipient will receive an email with a link to our secure server and passcode to retrieve your transcript as PDF.

4. If first class mail is selected, enter the name and postal address to send by First Class Mail:

5. If overnight mail is selected, enter the name and postal address to send by overnight courier:

  • a. Select the courier from the drop down list (UPS or USPS)
  • b. Attach the pre-paid shipping label PDF using the “attachments to be included” check box. Overnight requests with no shipping label will be sent out first class mail.

If there are any attachments which must be sent to the recipient with the transcript (email, first class mail, or overnight mail) select the attachments to be included check box and use the Upload Attachment link to upload the PDF from your computer.

Once the first recipient is complete, you may send to another address by selecting the Add Another Recipient link.

When all addresses are entered select the Continue button.

Selecting the Cancel button on any page in this process will exit you from this request and it will not be saved or submitted.  You will receive a Save Warning message to verify your intent to cancel and not complete the request.

If any required fields are not complete an error message will appear and the field will be highlighted in red.

Select OK, enter the required information in the highlighted field, and select the Continue button to move to Step 3, the Order Summary.

This will display to you your personal information as it is in system, all the selections you have made, and information you have entered.

order summary graphicCheck the information carefully.  If anything needs correction select the Back button at the bottom of the page (not the browser back arrow) and change what needs to be changed.  When everything is correct select the Submit button.

Final page – Submission Confirmation:

Upon Submit the request will be assigned a Request Number and you will be taken to the Submission Confirmation page which displays this number, the date and time of your request, and the link to Transcript Request to return to view your transcript requests.
