Registration

Students enroll in classes via MySlice. Prior to fall and spring registration, registration access times, holds (academic, financial, other), and academic profile information can be viewed through MySlice. The Office of the Registrar notifies students via email (using students’ syr.edu addresses) when this information is available for the upcoming registration period.

The Schedule of Classes publication includes information about registration policies, procedures, and instructions, along with class offerings. The publication is available in print at school/college offices and in .PDF format. For up-to-the minute information about class offerings, use Class Search in MySlice (no log-in required).

College academic advising statements, which include information about advising requirements, should also be viewed in preparation for registration. Helpful information can be found in Registration Tips and When Where How?. The Registration Pre-plan Worksheet (PDF) is a useful tool for planning a schedule. The University course catalogs provide academic program descriptions, curriculum requirements, and course descriptions.

Once students complete registration, their class schedules can be viewed through MySlice.
